Mera Peak Summit & Amphu lapcha Pass (6,461m.)

Overview

Mera Peak(6,461m.) is the highest permitted trekking peak in Nepal at over 6,400m. It lies in the Khumbu Himalayan Range.The beautiful panorama view from the summit is one of the finest in the Himalaya with five 8,000m peaks visible: Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Kanchenjunga. For experienced climbers it is a technically a straight forward ascent. The main hurdle is a proper acclimatization to the high altitude. These reasons make Mera Peak a very popular destination, with many adventure tour companies offering guided trips to the mountain for clients with little or no mountaineering experience. All climbers are recommended to take part in preparative fitness and altitude training before attempting an ascent. Nima Nuru Sherpa is an excellent and experienced guide for both Mountaineering and trekking. He has successfully summited 4 times Everest, Pumori, Island peak and many other surrounding mountain of Nepal. He is a very polite and humble person yet very caring and knowledgeable guide. Everest Base Camp

It was very professional and fun! Thanks Pemba!
I did it a few years ago. We were a total of 7 trekkers and 5 porters. At one point one of the porters had to go due to family emergency, so one of the other porters carried two bags, which was insane, but he did it.

Amazing trip and the best service

Me and my friends did the EBC track this year with Pemba’s company also part of our group successfully climbed an Island Peak. Everything was really amazing and enjoying (well, as much as it can be in high mountains)). There weren’t any problems or misunderstanding with sherpas or accommodation on the track. Those people made our track relaxing and contemplating. Pemba and his team are really hardworkers, they did everything to made our trip comfortable and safe.
